In my lifetime quest For peace and happiness,
I looked for the God of creation Seeking my eternal salvation.
I sought God everywhere Vainly searching in despair,
I sought God everywhere Vainly searching in despair,
In no place could I find This Savior to call mine.
I read the worlds religions
I read the worlds religions
Trying to see a vision Of where God might be
But the Lord escapes me.
I've searched for God in mind But He eludes me every time,
I've searched for God in mind But He eludes me every time,
My thoughts cannot make clear Why the creator is not here.
I sought God from preachers, And world famous teachers,
I sought from priest and rabbi, But God's grace passes me by.
I studied the Bible and other books And pilgrim journeys I took,
Searching for God in every place But in none did I see his face.
I searched holy places and shrines
Looking for divinity signs But each time I feel God is near
His presence disappears.
In desperation I fell to my knees
Crying, "why have you forsaken me?"
I've searched for you again and again!
I hear a gentle voice whisper----
" You did not invite me in"

That's good. He IS always there but we must invite Him and request His presence. He will never force Himself on us; otherwise, He is not the God we love and adore.

Love the poem.
Sharon,
How nice that is so true. God's up there just waiting, for us to ask Him.
Be Blessed,
Lynn
I read your prayer request and will be praying for you. Recently I asked for prayer and when I went to the doctor yesterday she said there was nothing wrong, that the problem I was having can be treated with medication if I have any more problems. Praise God. He loves us all and does not want us to suffer. May God be with you and give you peace, in the name of Jesus.

Sharon,
I just happened to find your post on Plant Lady's Ponderings. Thanks for your visit! You asked the question, "Where are you from?"
I live in Southeastern North Carolina. My husband and I have a small farm, although we live about twelve miles from it. I enjoy the "farm life", something like the old TV show, Green Acres! Ha! Ha!
Having grown up on the farm, it's "old hat", but I enjoy visiting the "big cities", however, I wouldn't want to live there.
It's like the old saying, "You can take the girl out of the "country", but you can't take the "country" out of the girl!
Be Blessed!
Plant Lady
