Mother's Day

Is my Mother my friend?

I would have to say, first of all she is my Mom, with a capital 'M' She is Very special to me. I love her so much, she is my Best Friend, She is someone I can talk openly with about anything.
Mother's Day is a very hard day for me, I struggle inside, my heart~aches I was never able to have my own child. I knowwwww but I can't help it I ask the question to God, "WHY~~~~~Why ME???" I would be a good mom, loving, caring, all the things my mom is and more. I also find myself questioning God, "Oh you give this person and that person a child, they abuse them, or do not raise them properly, but then is killed due to drugs, or thrown out of moving vehicle onto the interstate and only 4months old." WHY why do these things happen, WHY couldn't I have that child........ I have been a Christian long enough to know that God has other special things for me, but I would be lieing if I said I didn't think these things. But even still I am a Mama to my hubby(haha), I am a Mama to my dog, And I have a Step Son!!!! So he has blessed me, Amen!

These are the things that I truly believe Mom's are so great at
When you're a child she walks before you, "To set an example."
When you're a teenager she walks behind you, "To be there should you need her."
When you're an adult she walks beside you, "So that as two friends you can enjoy life together.."

There is no velvet so soft as a mother's lap, no rose as lovely as her smile, no path so flowery as that imprinted with her footsteps. A mother understands what a child does not say, Who run's to help me when I fall, Or kiss the BooBoo place to make it well?
This was and still is "My Mom."

Mom, I love you
For all that you do.
I'll kiss you and hug you
'Cause you love me, too.

You filled my days with rainbow lights,
Fairytales and sweet dream nights,
A kiss to wipe away my tears,
Chocolate chip cookies to ease my fears.
You gave the gift of life to me
And then in love, you set me free.
I thank you for your tender care,
For deep warm hugs and being there.
I hope that when you think of me
A part of you, "You'll always see."
If life were without water, where would we be? If life were without mothers,
There would be no you or me.

We all need to take hold, of how precious life really is,
and not take for granted the gift of love and the ability to give.
Thank you to God for creating us all, for giving us our Mothers.

"Happy Mother's Day" means more than have a happy day. Within those words lies lots of things, we never get to say. It means I love you first of all, then thanks for all you do. It means you mean a lot to me, And that I honor you.

I Love You "Mom" Happy Mothers Day!

And to ALLLLLLL of my friends here in Bloggy World "Happy Mothers Day"
Love Always,

What a beautiful tribute to your Mom. I'm sure she is very thankful to be your Mom. That's how I feel about my 2 daughters. I am so thankful that God allowed me to be their Mother.

My oldest daughter is still not married but like you she still wants to be a parent. She is planning to adopt 2, a toddler and a 3 year old. She was told if she would take 2 from the same family it would be easier. She's been saving her money but if she doesn't do it soon she'll be too old. She just never met the man of her dreams or else she let him slip through her fingers. Who knows there may be someone for her yet.

Thank you for your prayers. I really appreciate them and your friendship. You know I could call you "daughter" because your probably at an age that you could be.

Maybe God has a special blessing for you, we'll just have to pray about it. Like you I don't understand why people who really don't care about parenting have children and then others who would be great parents don't. One day you will know the reason.
Luv u,
AliceE.

Awwww Sharon, What a great post and tribute to your mother. I was just thinking the other day about you and wondered if you had any children. Now that you mention it I do remember you talking about your step-son.

I am so sorry to hear you pain and my heart breaks with you as I can tell you have longed to be a mother. Like Alice, it does not make sense to me, but yes we will understand some day. Love your honesty.

I do believe it counts as you are a mother to your puppy!:) As I think it does in regards to my kitty!:)

Happy Mother's Day my beautiful friend!

PS-Thank you for the beautiful e-cards the other day. They brightened my day!!!

Love ya,
Nicole

Sharon, this tribute to your mother is so very beautiful. It brings tears to my eyes as I think of my own dear mother who is 77 and lives five hours away. She is growing feeble.

I am so sorry for your suffering. I pray that the Lord will help you and give you healing and grace. You are such a kind person, and it is hard to understand many things we experience in this life. I know you would be a wonderful mother, for you have a dear heart, and you are such a kind, gentle spirit.

I have two sons but lost two babies through miscarriage, and many days, I wonder why it happened. Perhaps, I will one day know when I get to heaven and see them there.

I hope you have a blessed Mother's Day.

Love and Comfort to You,

Andrea

What a beautiful post, Sharon. I am sorry to hear the sadness in your post...I know how hard that must be to deal with. My oldest son and daughter in law are dealing with infertility, and it is so hard. They, and I, ask some of the same questions you have. I wish I knew answers or the words to say that could make you feel better. But, I don't. So, I'll just say that I care, and I understand, and I will pray. God bless you!

Thank you Sharon for the picture. Hope you have a wonderful vacation ???? Painting? I will be praying for you.

I hope you have a good Mother's Day with your Mom.
My oldest daughter can't come home this week-end but she sent me a big vase of roses from her, her sister and my grandchildren. Regent has graduation this weekend so she has to be there. Hopefully I'll get to see my youngest daughter and the grandchildren. They are growing up way too fast. They came last Sunday and brought dinner for my birthday which was on Saturday.
Blessings, my friend,
AliceE.

Sharon, this was very eautiful and on ereason is becasue you spoke truth in sharing your feelings, this is what God would have us do for He is a God of truth. One day you will know why He chose not to give you a biological child-but I have a feeling your mother's heart is felt and seen by many. Blessings to you and Happy Mother's day-stepmom who has as much influence on children as the biological mother.

Oh, what a sweet tribute to your mama! My mama is just a few minutes from me. She's 86 and can hardly get around anymore. But she was and is my best friend. Since I was in my 30's I tell everything to my mama! She needs full time care now, but her mind is sharp which is a huge blessing!!!

I'm sorry you didn't have a child, I know you would have been a fantastic mom. I had an aunt who never had a child and I once ask her why she didn't adopt.....(she was a really funny lady) she answered...."well, I always figured if the Lord wanted me to have a baby, He'd a given me one!"

I hope your day is wonderful. I have sons and step sons and I love them all the same.

I'm so glad to have your friendship!

Hello Sharon
Blogging is new to me and I somehow was led to your site, which is awesome by the way. God knows the plans He has for you, we don't always understand those plans but He has a different purpose for each of us. It is a blessing to hear the Praise and Love come from your heart even though you still have that longing to be a mother. I wonder sometimes about the babies who are aborted and if when we get to heaven if they will be little angels assigned for those who longed to have children on earth and were never able to. Just think, God may have a mansion full of babies already in heaven awaiting you.

God Bless You

What a great tribute to your mother. I wish mine was that special but alas things aren't so great in my world. I am sorry that you can't have children but maybe God will put you in charge of the nursery when you get to Heaven.

Oh what a beautiful post! I can understand why Mother's Day would be difficult. I have a son. But I always wanted more children. It can sometimes be difficult to accept God's plan for our lives. I pray that you enjoyed Mother's Day celebrating with your mother.
