Glad Over You

Paul encourages me to continue pressing forward, into the Glory and Presence of God. When everything looks bleak from a physical standpoint, I must know that God is at WORK, preparing me through the Holy Spirit for something much greater, surpassing anything I can presently comprehend.

2 Corinthians 4: 17-18
For our present trouble, which is only for a short time, is working out for us a much greater weight of glory;
While our minds are not on the things which are seen, but on the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are for a time; but the things which are not seen are eternal.

The more time that I spend in the Presence of God, I am assured to receive the Comfort and Strength to face the many trials of life. In Christ, these present discomforts we face, are but a foretaste of the Joy and Peace that we will soon experience.
Moments spent in the Praising and Worship of God, build upon the foundation that is laid by Jesus, and there is nothing else which can SUSTAIN us when the storms come against us.

Through his own life, Paul shares the details of those physical storms that came against him, yet he was never discouraged in the knowledge that God was at WORK, preparing something greater through those times. Just as I know that God is working on me and and I know something great is coming my way.
We also face many obstacles that attempt to hinder our focus of what God is WORKing to accomplish through us, yet we must diligently press forward despite the hardship.

Lord, YOUR Voice speaks loudly of Victory, mine to attain through Christ who refreshes me! As YOU move in the wind that brings change, steer me like a rudder with YOUR Truth I pray!!

Zep. 3:17
The Lord your God is among you, as a strong saviour: he will be glad over you with joy, he will make his love new again, he will make a song of joy over you as in the time of a holy feast.

YOU keep me safe from the snares that are set, with a HOPE that fills my heart and never fails!!!
My weeping will soon be turned to laughter, through my Joyful tears will I see YOU Glorified!
YOU dwell in the hearts of all YOUR people, guiding us by YOUR Everlasing Way of LIFE!

I have to tell you this, this must be confirmation! Because when I did my Thankful thursday, then on Sunday I read this scripture it all coinsides. There is something great coming, Do you believe you have something Great coming?? Wouldn't You like something New and refreshing?

Amen!!!

Paul is such a great example outside of Christ. He endured his own cross for the sake of Jesus.

I pray I have something good coming. Many people have told me that. I just hope it comes before Christ's return. I do believe we are running out of time. I believe His return is much sooner than anyone expects. We'd be very lucky to have ten years, if that, left on this earth. But that's just my own feeling...maybe it's a fear of not enough time.

The thing is when He returns we will no longer desire that great and new thing to come because we will have the ultimate in Heaven.
Love,
Paula

These are always such comforting words to me. Yes, something great is coming! We must wait with patience...but it is hard, sometimes, isn't it?

Your words (along with God's) are so encouraging. I am sending them to a good friend of mine as well, to encourage her.

Thank you for sharing this.

God Bless,

After I clicked over here, I decided that I would wait til tomorrow to read your post because it is very late and I should be in bed. Then I saw "Zep. 3:17" so I had to stay and read now. This is the third time today that I have run across this scripture. Thank you for a Wonderful reminder!

Amen to your comment on my blog and Amen to your post.

I compared my mother to Paul. She ran her race and finished her course and is now present with the Lord. I use to hear her pray every morning while she was getting ready to go to work. Sometimes she would come out singing (although, like me she could not carry a tune) but that didn't stop her.

Like Paula I believe our Lord will return sooner than we think. I've recently said several times to ohers, I'm listening for the sound of the trumpet.

Be blessed, you are doing a great work for the Lord just by blessing your blogging friends with what God has laid on your heart.

Hi Sharon!
I've been too busy, and miss coming here. This was a very well written post, and more than that, very helpful. It's so easy to get caught up in the things we want to change, and don't see it happening. So easy to be discouraged. But-the hope is in Him, who will complete what He started in us! I love you, my friend.
