Blessed By You

God loves to bless, and our blessings are meant to bless others. In fact, God’s commitment to bless is so strong that even his curse of punishment for humanity’s first sin included a greater promise of blessing. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God’s sole command, he cast them from the Garden of Eden into lives of toil and pain. But at the same time he promised that he eventually would obliterate sin, Satan and death "Genesis 3:14-19". God said, “I will put enmity between you "the serpent" and the woman, and between your offspring and hers; he will crush your head, and you will strike his heel” "Genesis 3:15".

We can see God’s blessing working clearly in the life of Abraham, the “father of the faithful.” When God called Abraham, he promised, “I will bless you and make your name great, so that you will be a blessing ... and in you all the families of the earth shall be blessed”
"Genesis 12:2-3". Here we see that God’s blessing is not limited to individuals or even families; rather, God’s blessing is expansive. God blesses Abraham so that he will become a blessing to all. The story of Joseph and his personal suffering and eventual rise to power tells me how God blessed his people in order that they may bless others. Even though Joseph was sold into slavery by his jealous brothers, God blessed him by putting him in authority over all Egypt during a time of famine “to preserve life” "Genesis 45:5".

God blesses his people so that they will become blessings and preserve life
"2Corinthians 9:11". Such blessing is never merely spiritual or merely material, but rather, God’s blessing is realized through acts of “righteousness and justice” which always include both spiritual and material aspects "Genesis 18:17-19". As Christians, we should desire all of God’s blessing—both spiritual and material—with our whole hearts.
Our goal in receiving God’s blessing should be for the purpose of preserving the spiritual and physical lives of those we encounter through acts of “righteousness and justice” "Genesis 18:19" God does not bless exclusively for our own personal prosperity.

Blessing others is what it means to be “blessed.” I can tell you that so many of you here have blessed me, either by your posts, or your comments, or just your kindness towards others and myself. I am so Thankful to be Blessed, and to be blessed by you!!

God In Spirit

Worshipping God "in spirit" means with reverence, attentiveness, and having the right purpose of honoring God, while understanding what we are doing.
Hebrews 12:28-29 says, "Let us have grace, by which we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear. For our God is a consuming fire." Our worship must glorify God.
1 Corinthians 6:20 says, "For you were bought with a price; therefore glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

In order to worship God in the right spirit, we must take time before worship to make ready our hearts and emotions so we will be in the proper frame of mind. I read in Psalms 89:7, "God is greatly to be feared in the assembly of the saints, and to be held in reverence by all those around Him." Our worship must show great reverence toward God. He is our creator and He holds our eternal destiny in His hands. We must strive to please Him. We should not have to rush or hurry to worship, arriving late but should always plan to be there early enough so we can be in a worshipful attitude and spirit. Our mind must be ready, attentive, and alert, my husband has always told me and I have learned go EX-SPECTING. Amen!

Concerning the Lord’s Supper, we are told in 1 Corinthians 11:27, "Therefore whoever eats this bread or drinks this cup of the Lord in an unworthy manner will be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord." Our worship to God must be done in a worthy manner. It must be done in a manner that brings glory and honor to God and Christ. As I Continued to read in verse 29, "For he who eats and drinks in an unworthy manner eats and drinks judgment to himself, not discerning the Lord’s body." We must control our thoughts during periods of worship and not let them wander to other things. We should never be wishing the worship service would hurry up and be over so we can get to the restaurant early and not have to stand in line. In fact we should be of the frame of mind that we are disappointed to see the worship service end!!!!

In showing reverence and respect to God, we will not be indifferent, inattentive, and taking lightly that which should be considered serious. Worship to God is holy. Our character in worship must also be holy.
In 1 Peter 1:15-16 I read, "But as He who called you is holy, you also be holy in your conduct, because it is written, Be holy for I am holy." Slouching over, sleeping, playing with babies, squirming, unnecessary talking, and passing notes all show disrespect in worshipping God. Worship which is insincere, that is not from the heart, is vain, useless, and unacceptable to God. Jesus says, "This people honors Me with their lips, but their heart is far from Me" (Mark 7:6). Active participation will tend to get rid of our lack of interest and inattentiveness.

Reverence is not having a long face, folded hands, or a put on look of piety. Worship is a time of joy for us. It is a time of offering thanks, adoration, love, praying, singing praises to God, feeding on His word, and proclaiming Christ to the world in partaking of the Lord’s Supper.

Ask yourself
(Hebrews 12:28-29) How are we to worship God?

Does it matter how we worship God?

(1 Corinthians 11:27-29) All of our worship to God is to be done in what type of manner?

Can we worship God in what ever way we please?

(1 Corinthians 6:20) Since we were bought with the blood of Christ do we glorify God in all we do?

(Psalms 89:7) Our worship to God should be in Reverence?

(1 Peter 1:16-17) Because God is holy we should also be holy in all things, including our worship.

Yet a time is coming and has now come when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for they are the kind of worshipers the Father seeks. God is spirit, and his worshipers must worship in spirit and in truth.”
John 4:23-24

Lord Thank You for Your promises which clearly tell us that those who are faithful to Your call will be given all the wisdom, knowledge and strength they need to accomplish what they are called to do. Turn our hearts away from our own selfish desires and re-focus Your Body with a pure and holy motivation that helps us to see clearly. Protect our Body from the slings and arrows of Satan as he surely recognizes the emerging Body of Christ that We will no longer be a sleeping, unworshipping individual, but will NOW become a "Force of God" that will not be defeated. AMEN,AMEN!!!!!!

Car Crash :(

Yeppppp this happened to me yesterday, as I was leaving work, I pulled out and BAMMMMMM I was hit!!!

Praise God,Praise God,Praise God his hands were upon me and I didn't get hurt. This picture just shows what type of vehicle I was driving. I haven't taken pictures of my truckie yet, but I can tell ya she is hurt pretty bad. The whole left side! From the front fender to the back is crinkled. I didn't even know what hit me. I can tell ya all I saw was black, I was tossed in my seat a bit, but all in all I am ok....I felt my neck alittle sore last night, but I prayed!, and this morning I am just fine! Praise my God, his hands were on me you here!!!

This guy come flying out of this alley next to where I park he was in reverse and hit me with his rear end and it went down the whole truck and he kept pushing, then he pulled forward got out of the car left it running and said I'M LEAVING!!!! I said WHAT? He left, I looked down the street and low and behold there sat a cop car, I told the girl from the office to please go down and get the cop , that this guy is leaving the scene. So the cop came, and saw that he left and then him and another guy come walking from around the corner and it was the OWNER of the vehicle. Lovely, the guy that was driving didn't have a driver's lic. and he got a ticket for improper backing.
The owner of the vehicle did have insurance Thank goodness.

This is sad, why, well my truckie is sad looking, and I am embarrassed you know people look at ya and your vehicle. Oh well, I am sure sometime next week they will get over to look at it. So mean while I have to hear the doors go rip and clunk. I guess I don't need to wash it, My POOR TRUCKIEEEEE.

I pray that this will get taken care of asap though. This was my firstttt accident, and I kept asking the officer I won't lose my safe driver record will I? He started laughing and said No it's not your fault. Shewwwwwww I was so worried about that.

I am Blessed today, how about you!!!!

Worship, Who YOU??

Have you ever gone to the store and purchased a singing bird maybe for yourself or someone else? They all have different sounds and sound so beautiful. I have a red Cardinal, who chirps or sings depends on which way I push the button, I can also set it to sing or chirp By motions. I so Enjoy listening to this, I love the sounds.
But whats sad is what if it just sat there and never sang, what if all it did was sit there and just turn its head, never uttered a tune. I would be so disappointed, I would try to get it to work, but if it doesn't want to it will not.

That's how I see sooooo many people in church just standing there, maybe turning there heads. Nothing coming from there lips, you don't see them singing to there Lord, you see NO worshipping. I don't know if they really understand how important that is. Jesus says in John 4:24, "God is a Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth."
The purpose of our worship is to glorify, honor, praise, exalt, and please God. Our worship must show our adoration and loyalty to God for His grace in providing us with the way to escape the bondage of sin, so we can have the salvation He so much wants to give us. The nature of the worship God demands is the prostration of our souls before Him in humble and complete submission. James 4:6, 10 tells us, "God resists the proud, but gives GRACE to the humble. Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord, and He will lift you up". Our worship to God is a very humble and reverent action.

Jesus says in John 4:23-24, "But the hour is coming, and now is, when true worshippers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth, for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit and they that worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth." It doesn’t say we can worship God anyway we want, but we "must worship Him in spirit and in truth". The word "must" makes it absolute. There is no other way we can worship God and be acceptable to Him. The word "must", according to Webster, expresses "an obligation, a requirement, a necessity, a certainty, and something that must be done". When "must" is used it means that it is not optional. Here the word "must" is expressing that in spirit and in truth is the only way to acceptably worship God.

God seeks true worshippers, and He identifies them as those who "worship Him in spirit and in truth". Worshipping God in spirit means that it must be done from the heart. Worshipping God in truth means that it must be done according as God has specified in the Bible. Worshipping God in spirit and in truth is a serious matter which must not be taken lightly. If we have any regard for our own souls, we will want to make sure we are worshipping God in spirit and in truth.

Worship is a time when we pay deep, sincere, awesome respect, love, to the one who created us. Acts 17:24-25 says, "God who made the world and everything in it, since He is Lord of heaven and earth, does not dwell in temples made with hands, as though He needed anything, since He gives life, breath, and all things."

Worship should cause us to reflect on the majesty and graciousness of God. God does not have to have our worship, but we must worship Him to please Him. Our singing, praying, studying His word, giving, are designed by God to bring us closer to Him and to cause us to think more like He thinks, thus becoming more like Him. James 4:8tells us to, "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."

Our worship not only honors and magnifies God, but it is also for our own edification and strength. Worship helps us develop a God-like and Christ-like character. We become like unto those we admire and worship. When we worship God we tend to value what God values and gradually take on the characteristics and qualities of God, but never to His level. As Philippians 2:5 says, "Let this mind be in you which was also in Christ." How do we take on the mind of Christ? In Romans 12:2 we read, "And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind." We renew our mind as we study and meditate on God’s word and worship Him.

When we worship God we develop such traits as forgiveness, tenderness, justice, righteousness, purity, kindness, and love. All of this is preparing us for eternal life in heaven with God and Christ. As we are told in Colossians 3:2 to, "Set your mind on things above, and not on things on the earth."

You know Sunday we were at a church, it was so beautiful, I felt the Holy Spirit when I walked in the door. There were some people who were greeters, I felt it when we hugged and shook hands, It was Great. They had a group of singers on stage singing Worship music, and let me tell you they were absolutely AWESOMEEEEEE! There was one point where they stopped singing to let us sing, and all I heard was ME yes ME, The lead guy was saying come on church sing to your Lord, they would sing a line and then they went silent, I just kept singing. The tears then flowed from my eyes until we left, I was crying because I was hurting for my Lord. Sometimes I wonder if people are not just playing Church.
How do you worship??? You know sometimes when I am worshipping it feels like he is standing in front of me, sometimes I feel as though he is holding my hands. One day, he and I are going to dance together.
Blessings to all

Behold I Make All Things New

I am the New Year
I am an unspoiled page in your book of time.
I am your next chance at the art of living.
I am your opportunity
To practice what you have learned during
The last twelve months about life.

All that you sought the past year
And failed to find is hidden in me
I am waiting for you to search it out
Again and with more determination.

All the good that you tried to do
For others and didn't achieve last year
Is mine to grant-- providing you have
Fewer selfish and conflicting desires.

In me lies the potential
Of all that you dreamed but didn't
Dare to do all that you hoped
But did not perform.

All you prayed for
But did not yet experience -
These dreams slumber lightly waiting to be awakened by the touch
Of an enduring purpose -

I am your opportunity
To renew your allegiance to Him who said, "Behold I make all things new." I am the NEW YEAR.
Rev 21:5

This is just beautiful don't you think.

God Said, No.

This was sent to me today from a great friend and I just thought I would share this with you!

I asked God to take away my habit.

God said, No.
It is not for me to take away,
but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.

His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.

God said, No.

Patience is a by-product of tribulations;
it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.

God said, No.

I give you blessings;
Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.

God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from
worldly cares
and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.
You must grow on your own,
but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things
that I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life,
so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.

God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

HEY~~THIS DAY IS YOURS DON'T THROW IT AWAY

May God Bless You,

'To the world you might be one person, But to one person you just might be the world' (You yes YOU reading this touch me this way)

'May the Lord Bless you and keep you, May the Lord Make his face shine upon you,
And give you Peace......Forever'

'Good friends are like stars...
You don't always see them, But you know they are always there.

Just like the person who sent this to me, and just like the ones that are reading this. God Bless you all!

Voicemail Nooooo

I had went to my bank and ordered checks and when they came I noticed they had the wrong last name on them. So I called the bank and found that I was put on HOLD.
I started thinking about how many times I put God on hold, sad. Then I am listening to a recording and it kept repeating the same-thing over and over, and then this voice mail came on, "I am sorry but our offices are now closed, please call during normal business hours." Wow, I did call during business hours. As I sat afterwards thinking about the situation, Most of us today have now learned to live with voice mail as a necessity part of our lives.

please contact your local pastor.

Thank you and have a heavenly day.

I have heard this before, but after the situation of my checks it really got me thinking, so maybe the next time you get through to a voice mail, just imagine if it was God's and you got it this way. Also the next time you are on hold, hopefully you won't be on hold that long, and you won't leave God holding as well. I did get my checks taken care of the next day, and I got a re-order for free. Praise God! I pray right now that God will never put me through to his voice mail. It is says in your word Lord you will never leave me nor forsake me, and I know you will always hear my voice, hear my crys, I thank you Lord.

Praise God
Can you imagine getting a voice mail like this???

Blessings
