God Said, No.

This was sent to me today from a great friend and I just thought I would share this with you!

I asked God to take away my habit.

God said, No.
It is not for me to take away,
but for you to give it up.

I asked God to make my handicapped child whole.
God said, No.

His spirit is whole, his body is only temporary.

I asked God to grant me patience.

God said, No.

Patience is a by-product of tribulations;
it isn't granted, it is learned.

I asked God to give me happiness.

God said, No.

I give you blessings;
Happiness is up to you.

I asked God to spare me pain.

God said, No.
Suffering draws you apart from
worldly cares
and brings you closer to me.

I asked God to make my spirit grow.
God said, No.
You must grow on your own,
but I will prune you to make you fruitful.

I asked God for all things
that I might enjoy life.
God said, No.
I will give you life,
so that you may enjoy all things.

I asked God to help me LOVE others, as much as He loves me.

God said...Ahhhh, finally you have the idea.

May God Bless You,

'To the world you might be one person, But to one person you just might be the world' (You yes YOU reading this touch me this way)

'May the Lord Bless you and keep you, May the Lord Make his face shine upon you,
And give you Peace......Forever'

'Good friends are like stars...
You don't always see them, But you know they are always there.

Just like the person who sent this to me, and just like the ones that are reading this. God Bless you all!

Morning Sharon!

I so loved reading this today.
I think I will use this concept to write out my own for my journaling if you don't mind. It really got me to thinking!
How's your new living better going?
It's amazing how eating better for the Lord makes your spirit feel better isn't it? I've been working so hard, and sorta was bummed this morning that the number on the scale hadn't dropped like I thought it should. I'm going to try to forget about the numbers and refocus on the One I'm doing this for... the rest is sure to follow right?
I hope you are having a good day!
I've been thinking about you!

Hi Sharon!
This was just what I needed. Some of these things were in my prayer time this morning, so it was neat to come here and see it again.
Love, Debra

Wow Sharon, this is great! I might like to post this to my blog also, if you don't mind. I haven't posted in awhile and am trying to think what to post. Don't have a lot of material right now. So, I'm just thinking about some things. Not sure what to post yet.

How are you doing? How's your new look coming? Any pictures yet? I must sound like I have nothing else to do but see your new pictures.:) That's not true, I'm just excited for the new you because I know how great it feels to have a new look that reflects the new you, and I want to celebrate with you! Hope you have a VERY blessed day!

Okay, I can handle this as long as I don't forget that one day when I stand before the Master everything about me will be perfect. That makes me want to shout. Praise God and thanks for sharing.

I'm looking forward to the new look also.
God bless you as you have blessed me and others,

This is so true...thanks for posting it and reminding us that God is not there to grant our every desire but that we are here so that we may love, worship, trust and adore HIM. We were made to love HIM! God bless you today.

Yes, I liked that too. Especially the part about patience being something that is learned.
And yes, it would be my prayer that He would help me love other as He loves me. Goodness if we all asked for that we would change the world.

I have received this before, but it still gets to me everytime that I read it. God loves us so much but we have to do our part in what He has given us to work with.

I loved it...thanks for sharing!

Have a great weekend.
