The Greatest Love

"For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever
believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life." .....John 3: 16
***************
Forever, our praises are to ascend to the Blessed Lord, who lifted us from the depths of sin and despair. We were part of the world of lost sinners, for which the Lord was slain. Our sins were those which helped nail the hands and feet of our Savior to the old rugged cross. The nails were not what
held Him on the tree, it was His marvelous love for you and I.
Jesus took the curse upon His brow, and with His body, was willing to pay sin's cost. His atonement is the only means by which the gap between God and man, caused by sin, could be bridged. Only the Savior could provide a way for sinful man
to be reconciled back to a holy God. Only the blood of Jesus gives us strength each day, and will never lose its power.
His love is so faithful and true. He was willing to give up His royalty in heaven to become part of the human race as a man, and yet, was God in the flesh. Only He, who had sinless flesh, could be a perfect sacrifice to take our place and pay the debt of sin we owed, which we could not pay. One perfect Lamb was given that we might have eternal life. His blood is the only righteous blood, and by His sacrifice, we are redeemed and made free.
When we think of His death on Calvary's cross, we think of the world's greatest love. Only the love of God is able to reach down and rescue souls who are sinking in sin. Because of Him, we are lifted out of sin to sit with the Savior in heavenly places. Our hope is built on nothing less, than
Jesus and His faithfulness. Everything else is sinking sand, except the God of our salvation, the Solid Rock on which we stand.
Give Him thanks today for a love which lifts souls out of the pit and writes their name in the palace of heaven. Until the day He calls us home, we shall forever give praise for His precious blood shed for us and His great love.
Amen!!!

Where have I been. Wow...what a blog lift. I guess you haven't checked your blog lately. I know you were "out of commission" for awhile. I need to catch up and read your last four or so.

I am adding a blog list to my blog so I can see when sites are updated without having to remember to check.
(Like the one you started with your hubby).
Hope you are better. Haven't "seen" you on my blog.

Nice face lift.
Paula

Sharon,
What a beautiful site. You have done a wondeful change. I really love it. The post today was great, is it from your previous blog? I updated the feeds on the place for the other site and now I can't find it so I'm not sure what's new and what I have read before. (Remember my age, my memory is not as long as it used to be).

You asked how I was doing. I am better and did not have a reaction to the medicine. TO GOD BE THE GLORY. I still have a couple days left of pills but what the doctor sent evidently is what I needed. It was for cystitis of the bladder. It feels good to feel good again.

We have had our grandchildren since Sunday night so I haven't been able to post anything. I need some alone time with God about what to post. I have an idea but I'm not sure about it yet. Will let you know when I do.

I'm going to go look at your "hubby's" blog and your church website.

I have a question, how did you do the link. I've figured out some HTML things about single space and double space but can't quite grasp how to do a link. Also the first thing I put on was a prayer that I copied from Word and pasted. Internet Explorer does not recognize it and the feeds on my home page don't work. I have deleted the prayer but it did not change the feeds. I pulled up help and wrote about the problem but never got a definite answer.
If you have any ideas, let me know.
Talk with you later,
AliceE.

I posted a comment on your husband's blog, I hope that's okay. What he wrote was exactly what I needed to hear. Both of you have a great ministry.
Thanks for being such a wonderful friend,
AliceE.

Sharon,
Thanks for your visit. Yes, I looked at your church site also and it is as good as both of yours. You are so talented. I think I have now read everthing you wrote. You have a great gift to be able to put your feelings about things in words. May God continue to bless you.

I'm going to try and put something on my blog now so when you visit later hopefully it will be there.
Be blessed,
AliceE.
