What absolute beauty only God could create
May your troubles be less,
your blessings be more
and nothing but happiness
come through your door.

Yes, indeed ONLY our God could create this beauty and much of the most unique beauty on this earth. All of His creation if beautiful but you know there are some things you just go, wow.... and this photo is one of them. I have real peacock feathers in my house (a friend had a peacock believe it or not) but I've never seen a white one.

Thanks for your SWEET comment on my blog.

I hope all is weel with you.

Thanks, Sharon, for visiting my blog and for your kind words. I have dedicated my blog to God and look to Him for things to put on it just as I did with the card ministry. He is so awesome.

I know you have had a lot of pain with the gall bladder surgery. My mother was very, very sick before we found out it was her gall bladder. The doctor sent her home for 2 weeks to take antibiotics because the area was so diseased. By the time we took her back she was beginning to get sick again, but after the surgery she was fine.

It just takes time for the healing process. We just have to sit back, relax and let God do the rest. He made us so He knows how to make us better.
God be with you,
AliceE.

I was looking at your blog and noticed the picture of the hands (He Touched Me). After my surgery in 1999 and after I had started the card ministry, I kept telling the pastor that more people should be sending cards so he told me to write something and he would see about putting it in the bulletin, but he never did. I guess it was too long. I have been considering posting the first part of what I wrote and seeing your picture confirmed it. I had used that picture on the article and it did turn out to be an article. Our church is very big and I just felt there were people who were falling between the cracks. After this last surgery I lost the passion for the cards and then God led me to the Bible study and the world of blogging. I have thoroughly enjoyed it and reading others as well.
Hope you have a great day,
AliceE.

The Card Ministry was something that just popped into my mind one day. After recovering from the surgery in 1999, I went every Tuesday to help the children's pastor (also my best friend, Judy) put things together for her ministry on Sundays. We had just gotten a new pastor and I did not know a lot about him so I asked her what she thought about a card ministry. She said the pastor liked sending cards to people in the congregation. One day I went to the main office to get an appointment with him and was told it would be about two weeks before I could see him. I had prayed that if God opened the door for this I would walk through. While trying to set up an appointment the pastor walked out of his office and said something to his secretary. I spoke up and said I need to talk with you and he opened his door and said come on in. Wow, what was I getting myself into. I told him what I wanted to do like sending cards to people from the church who were in the hospital or members who had lost a family member. He thought that was great but would also like to have cards sent to 1st, 2nd and 3rd time visitors. He said the would supply the cards and pay the postage. When I picked up the first batch of names and hospital list and started looking at them I knew the cards they gave me would not work so with an Inspirational Card Program I started putting together cards. Sometimes I would send out as many as 60 or more. My husband decided to pay for the postage and I was also using his name on the cards. The pastor left after about 2 or 3 years so the cards he wanted sent out was dropped. I'll tell you more later. I've got to go to my gyn's office to get a urine test. I may have an infection. Please pray for me.
Will write you the rest later,
AliceE.

I'm back, sorry I posted on the wrong place. Hope your find this.
When I started the card ministry I realized that I also had to pray for these people. After stopping the 1st,2nd and 3rd time visitor cards, we had a friend who was really sick so I felt he needed a card every month. The Hospital Pastor found out what I was doing and started giving me names to put on what I called "My Encouragement List." Then she added the Shut-ins. God and I (I could not have done it without His help) put together more 40-60 cards. I think I was on card #40 when I quit. If a month had a special day like Easter, Valentine's, etc I did cards for those. That would be the card for that month. The shut-ins all got the same card every month, but the Encouragement List grew and I would start the person at the first card I did. It was a great blessing for me to know that maybe I was giving someone a cherrful day. I got lots of cards from some of them at Christmas telling me how much they appreciated the cards.

Sorry this is so long but I can't tell somebody something without telling the whole story. If you have any more questions let me know. The amazing part was when I would sit down at the computer to do a new card there was always something God had shown me or given me. Sometimes I would wake up in the mornings with a line from a song. I copy pictures from the internet when it lets me and put them in My Pictures which is also my screen saver. Usually I could find a picture that would match what I was putting in the card.

Good luck with the new blogs. I'm sure they will be great. I've been learning some things about HTML and how to make things either single space or double space.

Will let you know when I hear back from the doctor about the test I just had.
Blessings,
AliceE.
